Block trades in xStocks, crossed at the Pyth mid.
Midway is a dark pool on Solana for block-sized orders in xStocks. Each order is sealed to an Arcium MXE, rests with its size hidden, and fills against the other side at the Pyth midpoint.
Order size against price impact
On a constant-product pool every share costs more than the one before, so a block pays more the larger it is. Midway fills both sides at the Pyth midpoint, and the size of an order never enters its price.
| Price after the trade | Value lost to the curve | |
|---|---|---|
| AMM pool | +21.00% | $90,909 |
| Midway | Unchanged | $0 |

On chain, every order looks the same size
Side, size, minimum fill, limit, expiry and session are encrypted to the Arcium MXE before an order leaves your wallet. Your wallet, stock market, order identity and submission time remain public. The order’s terms stay hidden; only authenticated fills publish trade quantities and prices.

Seal an order from your vault
Deposit USDC or an xStock into your vault, set the size, the limit and the smallest fill you’ll take, and the order waits hidden until the other side meets it at the mid.
- Vault
- The USDC and xStocks you trade from. While an order rests, the whole vault is reserved for it; otherwise you can withdraw at any time.
- Session
- Regular-hours orders cross inside the published US session calendar, which skips exchange holidays and closes early when the exchange does. Around-the-clock orders cross at any hour.
- Fills
- Each fill is published with its quantity, the slot it crossed in, and its price: the Pyth midpoint at that slot. How much of your order still rests is yours alone to see.
