Connect a wallet
Midway works with Solana wallets that support the Wallet Standard. Connecting signs one message to start a session.
Midway connects to Solana wallets that register through the Wallet Standard: browser extensions and in-app browsers such as Phantom, Solflare and Backpack. The app lists every compatible wallet it finds.
Connect and sign in#
- Open the app and choose Connect wallet.
- Pick your wallet and approve the connection.
- Sign the sign-in message. It names Midway's address, your account and a one-time nonce. It is a message, not a transaction: it moves nothing and costs nothing.
The signature starts a session that lasts eight hours. Your vault balances, orders and fills appear once you are signed in.
Switching accounts#
If you switch accounts in your wallet, Midway ends the session so the new account's vault is never shown under the old one. Connect again to sign in as the new account.
Disconnect#
Open the menu on your address in the top bar and choose Disconnect. It ends the session on this browser.
What you need in the wallet#
- USDC to buy, or the stock you want to sell, to deposit into your vault.
- A little SOL for Solana network fees. Each deposit, withdrawal, order, read and cancellation is one transaction.
