Sessions and expiry

Regular-hours orders cross only inside the published US session calendar; around-the-clock orders cross any time. Every order has an expiry.

Session#

Every order carries one of two sessions, encrypted with the rest of its terms.

Regular hours orders cross only inside the market's published session calendar: US regular trading sessions, 9:30 to 16:00 New York time, without exchange holidays, and closing at 13:00 on early-close days. The calendar is checked on chain at the time of each round.

Around the clock orders can cross at any hour of any day, including weekends and holidays.

The ticket shows the New York day as a line: the window your order can cross in, and where now falls on it. The app's header shows whether the regular session is open and when it next opens or closes.

Expiry#

The ticket offers three expiries: 1 hour, 1 day and 1 week from the moment you seal. An order can't be set more than seven days ahead.

When an order expires, a matching round removes it and releases your vault. A round that finds expired orders removes the oldest one instead of crossing; the following rounds remove the rest, then look for fills again.
