FAQ

Short answers to the questions traders ask first.

What price will I get?#

The Pyth midpoint at the moment of the round, converted to USDC per share and rounded up to the next millionth of a dollar. Every fill happens there. Your limit decides whether you cross, not the price.

Can anyone see how large my order is?#

No. Size, side, limit, minimum fill, expiry and session are encrypted before they leave your browser. On chain your order is one taken position out of sixteen, and your whole vault is reserved for it, so no reserve reveals its size. Fills are public once they happen.

Why is my whole vault reserved?#

So nobody can read your order's size from the amount set aside. The reservation ends when the order fills completely, is cancelled, expires or is not admitted. See The vault and reservation.

What if only part of my order fills?#

The fill settles, and the rest keeps resting until it fills, you cancel it, or it expires. Read remaining size tells you privately how much is left.

Why does it say "Not admitted"?#

The order wasn't covered when the book checked it: a buy needs size × limit plus the fee in USDC, a sell needs the size in stock. Nothing was traded and your vault is released.

Do I need SOL?#

Yes, a little, for Solana network fees. Each deposit, withdrawal, order, read and cancellation is one transaction.

Which wallets work?#

Solana wallets that support the Wallet Standard, such as Phantom, Solflare and Backpack, in their browser extensions or in-app browsers.

Can I check my order from another device?#

Its status, your fills and cancellation work from any device you sign in on. Its sealed terms and remaining-size reads are kept in the browser that sealed it.

When do orders cross?#

Matching rounds run automatically while orders rest. Regular-hours orders cross inside the published US session calendar; around-the-clock orders cross any time.

What does Midway's server know?#

Your public chain activity and the ciphertext of your submissions. It holds no key to decrypt your order. Your balances are read from Solana, and your fills come from its index of finalized Solana transactions.
