Midway

Getting started

Place an order

Fill in the ticket, seal it in your browser, and watch it rest hidden until it crosses at the mid.

The order ticket has six terms. All six are encrypted in your browser before the order leaves it.

TermWhat it means
SideBuy with USDC, or sell the stock.
SizeHow many shares in total.
LimitFor a buy, the highest price you accept; for a sell, the lowest.
Minimum fillThe smallest quantity you'll take in one fill.
Expiry1 hour, 1 day or 1 week from now.
SessionRegular hours only, or around the clock.

Until you type a limit, the ticket offers one 0.5% through the current oracle price: above it for a buy, below it for a sell. Every fill happens at the midpoint, so a limit only decides whether you cross, never the price you get.

Seal it#

  1. Fill in the ticket. The button tells you what's missing, such as Enter a size, or Deposit USDC to cover this buy.
  2. Choose Seal order.
  3. Once per session, before the first private action, your wallet asks you to sign a message that unlocks this browser's private order history. It is not a transaction.
  4. Approve the order transaction.

The ticket folds into a single envelope resting on the string, with the ciphertext that went on chain. When the matching network has admitted it, the status changes to Resting · hidden.

While it rests#

  • Your order shows its status. Unlock terms shows the side, size and limit you sealed, decrypted on this device only.
  • Read remaining size asks the matching network how much is still resting, encrypted so only this browser's key for the order can read the answer. See Read your remaining size.
  • Cancel order removes it and releases your vault. See Cancel an order.

When it crosses, the fill appears under Your fills with its quantity, price and slot.
